Penn State Advanced Vehicle Team (PSU AVT) was working on the EV Vue Project from 2020 – 2021 that focused on converting a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) to a fully Electric Vehicle (EV). The vehicle was last running in 2011 as an HEV, but in early 2020, PSU AVT decided to convert the hybrid vehicle into an electric car. Over the past year, PSU AVT removed all the combustion-based components in the car and re-designed the low voltage system of the Vue to account for the existing components.
